Condition

This long stone axe blade would be attached to a wooden handle by two biconical holed drilled at the top/center of the blade. The thickness of this blade remains even from left to right as it tapers down to its fine beveled edge. The trapeziodal appearance achieved by the slightly flared blade edges is typical of the period. The color is mostly and earthy green in the middle with cloudy discoloration at the edges and pale blue veins crossing it diagonally from top left to middle right. This work is expertly carved and in excellent condition considering its age and has no chips or scratches. This object has a custom made steel display base.
