The wide central hole in this ornamental disc is larger than most works of its type, but not altogether uncommon. The disc portrays a circular dragon separated at the head and tail. The head and tail are minimally identified by small-scale openings worked into the mouth with pointed teeth and a tail shaped into a "quarter-note." Front and back surfaces have circular grooves and incised circumscribing lines. Similar objects have been found in sites throughout Jinsha and Anyang among other regions.
