This long svelte blade, called a zhang, is made of a dark green to black nephrite with blue mottling. Edges where the jade is thinner reveal a bright translucent green color. The jade takes the shape of a long sword-like form with a slightly flaring mouth and a rectangular haft. One perforation and four pairs of nodules decorate the handle. Three equidistant perforations forming a triangle are filled with turquoise. Traces of soil and cinnabar remain. Similar zhang have been found throughout Sichuan province and elsewhere.
