Condition

This long stone axe blade would be attached to a wooden handle by two biconical holes drilled at the top/center of the blade. The thickness of this blade remains even from left to right as it tapers down to its fine beveled edge. The trapeziodal appearance achieved by the slightly flared blade edges is typical of the period. Its color ranges from dark green to an ashy reddish brown with delicate white veins running throughout. This work is expertly carved and in excellent condition considering its age and has no chips, some minor scratches. This object has a custom made steel display base.
