The pictured blade is a wonderful example of late late Shang craftsmanship. These ceremonial objects would be attached to a wooden handle by the drilled perforations on its haft. The center of the blade is scalloped, its edges beveled, coming down to a fine point. Its color is a brilliant green with rust colored inclusions.
