This large, yet simply carved jade sculpture depicts an elephant at rest. The animal's legs are tucked underneath it. Its trunk curled underneath its head, pointing towards its open mouth. Its eyes are wide and forward facing, and there is a diamond shape carved into the top of its head, which has a crosshatch pattern carved inside of it. The line work is minimal and primarily used to indicate the elephant's anatomy.
